Classic candle arch showing the toy village of Seiffen
In this case, the candle arch is decorated with our toy village with mountain church, houses, lanterns- and Striezel children, two curly trees and a chip tree. The first thing you notice here is the chip tree in the middle. The art of chip tree carving originated in the 1920s in Seiffen. This involves clamping conically turned lime wood and lifting it all the way round, chip by chip. In contrast, striped trees are made exclusively on the lathe. Two of these trees can also be found on this candle arch. They stand behind three lantern children, who parade through the toy village with their lanterns. They are, dressed warmly with a hat, scarf, gloves and coat or jacket, just like the two Striezel children on the other side. The miniature children are made by Romy Thiel, who is known as a masterful manufacturer of figurines, which are characterized by special attention to detail.
Seiffen village with famous mountain church
Of course, the Seiffen mountain church must not be missing. It is famous all over the world for its octagonal shape and bell tower. The ensemble is complemented by two typical Erzgebirge houses.
The highlight of the candle arch Seiffen village with Romy Thiel children is the lighting, as not only the arch shines in warm light, but also the little houses and the church emit a cozy glow.
