Angel and miner as traditional figures
The traditional figures represent the firm connection between mining and the Christian faith. The angel is considered the protector of the miners, who with his light shows the men and sons the way home and fends off the dangers in the mine. The miner is the symbol of the working men in the Erzgebirge, who toiled hard every day in the mine and provided for the livelihood. Thus the angels and miner figures under the skillful hands of the people, which earned after the work in addition something to the meager wage.

The figures of SEIFFEN.COM by Nestler from Seiffen show the pair in a special way. While the angel is designed in its classic form, the miner impresses with some striking details. In addition to the traditional costume of the miners with layered hat and miner's habit, he wears an ore bowl on his right shoulder. This is filled with real stones, some of them glittering, and is supposed to represent the ore. His right foot rests on a small raised pedestal. Around his neck hangs his miner's lamp, which is electrically lit, as is the candle in his left hand.
Angel and miner as ambassadors of the Erzgebirge
At his side stands the angel with long white dress, which is painted with red ornaments and an apron. The same red is found on the crown again, which is enthroned on the head. As the most important detail may not be missing, of course, the wings. The green with a small star print wings protrude majestically behind the back. The angel carries two electric candles. Each figure is equipped with its own transformer. With a size of 34 cm angel and miner can be placed clearly visible, whether on a sideboard, at the window or on the shelf.
